Short-Term Disability
Short-Term Disability (STD) insurance provides income protection if you’re unable to work due to an illness, injury, or other health-related issues that prevent you from performing your job. Unlike workers’ compensation, which covers work-related injuries, STD insurance applies to non-work-related injuries and health issues.

How it Works
- If you become disabled, whether from a sickness or an injury, and are unable to perform your normal duties at work. You will receive a monthly replacement income check.
- You may choose the amount of Income replacement benefit however cannot exceed 60% of your monthly compensation.
- You may choose either a 6-month or 12-month benefit period.
